Dogs and kids are the best teachers.

They will both reflect our true energy at a given moment.

Sometimes it amazes me how much I can learn about myself when I am interacting with the dogs. If I keep myself calm and composed I can accomplish simple things like asking a dog to move from there to here with such ease. If I get irritated I usually end up working against myself. It can as much as double the time it would normally take me to do the same task with a calm confident energy. Becoming self aware is a key component to learning to communicate with your dog. If he is acting up while doing something that he knows how to do, you should simply look in the mirror for the problem. So keep your cool!

Happy dog training!
